Day3*Monday

On this day we left as a group to have our last orientation. This one was at our college, which is 30mins away.  And that's bus and walking, thank goodness my professor is not requiring us to meet there!

The college itself is gorgeous!

While traveling to the college we got off the bus at Baker Street.  I searched and searched for a glimpse of my beloved Sherlock Holmes' House... No luck!  I can say that I have amasses quite a few people who want to come with me, and check out this outfit.  They're even going to help me find a magnifying glass before the trip!  They seem just as excited as I am, which makes me feel a tad less strange.
After the tour of the college we went to the refectory(cafeteria) where I have come to the conclusion of why Londoners are so skinny.  Yes they walk a lot...but their food is less then appealing.  I feel the need to introduce spices to their cuisine.
After we left the college we got lost in Regents Park, which is a fantastically beautiful place. It is filled with all sorts of flowers in every color, strategically placed.  At one point I felt as though I was walking through Mr. Darcy's estate.
We walked to the Tower of London to meet up with a Jack the Ripper Walking tour!!  Before starting the tour we encountered this street performer.  Now normally I would pay no mind to a street performer, but i felt his "act" was so clever....I had to get a picture!
The Man without a Face... you think its Kevin Bacon under there???

On our tour our guide Emily told us a detailed account of the Ripper (formerly known as the White Chapel Murderer) and his 5 victims.  She explained why the women were prostitutes, a bit of a background on each one of their lives, and how it was so easy for them to be targets.  We saw actual places the murder victims were found...

3rd Victim... or maybe 4th, Catherine Eddowes

Where the 2nd victim was found.

She showed us an actual whorehouse where the women worked, and detailed the conditions in which they lived.  working 16 hours straight, just for a bed. It is now a girls dorm! Ahahahahaahahha!

On this day I don't think I have ever walked so much in my life... Although I think I have already proved myself to be wrong.  I have very sore legs and muscles apparently I had no idea I had.  After this tour my body had enough so I returned to Commonwealth Hall and our plywood beds for a nap.

Woke up feeling great and finished the night at.... where else??? The pubs!
